Old Woman Face - Drawing Steps
Soft pastel, pencil & charcaol .. On A4 paper
- Starting with an HB,2B & 2H pencils we draw the outline, you may do like me and
make some shade and shadow; I like to do that to see how it would be after coloring.
- This step is just about putting the basic colors for wide
spaces like skin and hair, In this case I used the soft pastel colors.
- Then color the shaded area with charcoal and black pastel chalk, you can
see the big difference because of the shade and shadow, that makes the volume.
- Smudging the colors (I don't use smudge tool, just my finger or a brush),
Then adding the lights (usually by the eraser), Then finally
adding details and some sharp lines to make it look more realistic.
- Semi final step, Emphasising the colors, shadow and lights and give
it more contrast, Note: when you draw a white skin; you must
add some red and pink effects It gives the life for the drawing.
- The Final Retouch, And It's ready :)
